Caring man walks with a trolley around Mexico to save poor dogs

Not all humans care about helping animals in need, but from time to time we meet people that do the impossible for the sake of dogs that need help.

This is also the case of Edgardo Perros, a kind man from Mexico that has a big heart.

The kind man started his mission in 2013 that was born from empathy, kindness and compassion for stray dogs,back then Edgardo decided to help poor stray dogs all over the country, so he got a trolley and began his 9,500 miles journey around Mexico.

“It is never too late for us to do something good, no matter what mistakes we have made in the past,” Edgardo told Quinta Fuerza. “Even if there is no food or medicine, I try to rehabilitate them with love and affection and put them up for adoption.”

Edgardo “Perros” Zuniga, managed to help around 500 dogs so far, he is only 900 miles away to achieve his goal.

This kind man walked more than 8,500 miles over the last six years pushing a trolley full of medicines and food for homeless dogs. He admitted that sometimes he took daily jobs to manage and feed himself and his four legged friends but according to him he also relied on the kindness of the people he came across.

The 49 year old, reports that he took this journey “to awaken people’s consciousness.” He says the dog’s are not guilty they are left to live on the streets, their owners are.

“What hurts me the most, is not the battered, hurt…dogs. It is the person that is doing it,” Edgar said. “I work with the strength of the animal, what I do, I do out of love for them, not out of pity. Dogs don’t care if it’s raining, if we are crossing a desert or if they’re hungry, they will always be by my side.”

“Dogs are full of love and protection, that’s why it’s important that we take care of them as well!” Edgar told Bored Panda. “I can’t live the rest of my life just saying ‘I traveled once around Mexico and helped dogs.’ I want to continue to work with dogs.”

We are amazed about this kind men journey, and we hope this will be an inspiration for everyone to take care more about poor homeless dogs.
